As a travel influencer, I’ve had the chance to try beers from all over the world but there is one particular beer that has conquered me and it’s made in Mexico. I’m talking about Tecate. You can find it in two varieties: the original and the light versions. And when I talk about the light Tecate, I don’t mean a weird tasteless light version: Tecate is born BOLD. I’d describe it as a low calorie beer with bold flavored light beer.
I like to encourage my followers to try different flavors and gastronomy. Food is part of being a traveler. That’s why today, I’d like to share a great pairing for Tecate and it’s a concept that, at first, I found kind of odd when I tried it myself but the result is delicious. I’m talking about Mexican Pizza. I know that when you think about the word “pizza”, you probably picture something Italian. However, this concept is pretty different and your friends are going to enjoy it with you.
How to make Mexican Pizza. The easy way
This is a really easy recipe to make. It’ll take you around 15-20 minutes to complete it. It’s a great match with a 12 pack of Tecate and the perfect plan for a fun night with friends (even if you are traveling and you have an oven available). Surprise your friends with this awesome pairing.
Ingredients:
– 4 flour tortillas
– 2 chicken breasts
– 1 onion
– Mexican cheese
– Enchilada sauce
– Sour cream
– Salt
– Pepper
– 1 tablespoon of olive oil
Preparation time: 15-20 minutes.
Servings: 2 people (double the number of tortillas per person)
First, grill the chicken breasts and add salt and pepper. Put it aside.
Now, use the same skillet to spread a tablespoon of olive oil. Toast the flour tortillas in it both sides.
Preheat the oven to 350º F.
Shred the chicken using a blender and once you are done spread it evenly in two of the flour tortillas. Add the cheese on top and the enchilada sauce. Cut the onion in half and add it to the tortillas as well. Put the other two tortillas on top to cover your pizza.
Make sure the oven has reached the right temperature and place the tortillas on the rack. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
After that, your Mexican pizzas are ready to enjoy! You can use the sour cream as a dip sauce. If you like pico de gallo, you can add it to the top. Hot sauce is also welcome to the mix.
